Alert user to email size

Hi,
I may be clutching at straws here but I've been asked to look into the
following:

If a user sends an email with attachment(s) that amounts to more than, say,
2mb a message appears alerting them that is above the system limit. It
doesn't need to completely stop them as on occation the users will need to
send larger emails but it needs to alert them to the fact.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What are you using as your mail server? What is your Outlook version?

Sorry,
That would have been useful info to have.

Exchange is 2000 but we will be moving to 2003 soon
Outlook is XP but will be moving to 2003 soon

Thanks

The way quotas on mailboxes are implemented here (Exchange 2003) is that you
can have only a certain amount of space in the mailbox. People can send you
as much mail as they want and it will never be rejected due to space.
However, until you reduce your usage to below the limit, you won't be able
to send any mail to anyone.
