ALERT MESSAGE WINDOWS\SYSTEM32...

M

Mike

Running Windows XP - Home. My Norton Personal Firewall
produces an "alert" saying - C:\windows\system32
\svchost.exe. Something is trying to connect to my
computer. Norton prompts me to do one of three things:
1 - Permit (recommended)
2 - Manually Configure
3 - Block

The message says that the incoming is coming from a
computer that is not digitally signed & is coming from
Microsoft. I have recieved dozens of these & have simply
clicked "permit." The messages still keep coming.

What is this & what do I do?

Thanks -

Mike

Greetings --

It's likely someone's attempt to hack into your computer. Your
firewall is doing as it's supposed to do. Deny the requests, unless
you want to be exploited.
