album info not showing

In wmp 9 when i put a cd in it showed everything as unknown so i would click
find album info and it would get the album name, artist, track names,etc.
Now in wmp10 when i click find album info, it finds the info, but when i
click finish it doesnt rename any of the tracks. There all still unknown.
Does anyone know how i can fix this?

I had the same problem. WMP10 has a few different default settings.

1. In Windows Media Player, click the Tools menu and then click Options.
2. Click the Privacy tab. Select the Display Media Information From The
Internet and Update Music Files By Retrieving Media Info From The Internet
checkboxes.
3. Click the Library tab. Select the Rename Music Files Using Rip Music
Settings checkbox. You might want to select the other check boxes on that
tab, too.

I'm having the same problem. But, I changed the settings and it still
doesn't work. In fact, there are two problems. When I put a CD in and click
"find album info" it finds it but finish doesn't do the job (like the
original post). But, when I ask it to find album info for an album I ripped,
it finds the info, but pressing "finish" causes the player to fail and I have
to end task to shut it down.

This computer is a day old and music organization is one of the main reasons
I purchased it! Having to type all the info in will drive me crazy!
