AIW 9700 pro causes BSOD

Joan

Hello:

I have a AIW 9700 pro. The system is very unstable with the card
installed. many progs just crash and burn and then when the TV is used
i get BSOD. It could play ok for 1 min or 3 hours but always
eventually blue screens.

ATI replaced the original card with a Refurb and its doing the same
thing. The thing that gets is if i put my AIW 8500 card in the system
everything works perfect.

Any help would be great!

Well, any useful info would be ncie... Like, the additional hardware, and
powersupply, for instance...

The 9700 pulls a lot more juice, thats why i ask..

Ah.. hmmm.... 510 Watts should be enough for any system, of course. Well,
hmm you did the clean install... Erm, do you have fast writes off? Thats the
only thing i could think of right now...

does this vid card have a power supply plugin (molex)?

did you used to have another video card in it?

any relevant history you can tell us? was it always like this, did you
recently install or move something (pci card)?

have you looked at any resources/irq's that are being shared with the
card in device manager?
