9700 AIW capture quality

Hello everybody,

I need to archive my VCR tapes. Looks like the ATI 9700 AIW has a reasonable
price on e-bay. Let say, I will capture VCR's signal using S-video of 9700
AIW and burn it on DVD. Will I see the difference on TV playing that DVD?

Maybe somebody can give me the links with samples of 9700 AIW capturing?

Thanks in advance

it will look as good as it did on VHS, pretty much.

The AIW will not capture prerecorded tapes with Macrovision.

That is a very valid point. Also, you might (the OP that is) want to do a
bit of research in this group about people who have had Macrovision
detection creep in erroneously on their own personal VHS tapes.
