AIW 8500Dv and MMC 8.7 Catalyst 3.8

Win2k crash over the weekend prompted me to upgrade to WinXP and get
the latest drivers for everything.

ATI of course had the new MMC 8.7 so I installed it. (Only problem I
see is that it wrongly says my P4 doesn't support MMX instructions.)

The drivers work fine, but MMC won't start the TV. The first time I
start it, I get the user license, then nothing but the ATI splash
screen that says TV 8.7. Nothing else. If I install the Remote
Wonder software, I sometimes get that bizarre Eazylook switch to full
screen...really annoying.

Anyways, any ideas on why TV won't start?

I installed drivers on a fresh system, in the order specified on ATI
website, rebooting in between when told to. All hardware hooked up
same as working system in Win2k was.

Thanks.

unforetuneatly I had this problem too with a previous version, I forget
what I did to get the wizard running.

You might try a reinstall of MMC via control panel add/remove and choose
the repair option.

sorry, thats all i know for now.
