Hi there,
I hv a Win 2000 Professional and it has a Agere PCI Soft Modem installed. I
installed a driver from Microsoft and all the diagnostics I did on the modem
confirm that the modem is working OK.
But, when I try to dial I get the error message No Dial Tone. Would someone
out there have a suitable driver for this modem? I am unable to fax anything
out. Also, I am unable to connect to my dial up isp account.
I also noticed another issue. I was able to set up a Fax printer using this
modem as the fax device. When I try to print to this Fax Printer, I do not
get the Fax Status window which usually give you updates on the fax such as
dialing, sending, pages sent, etc. Could this be a Windows problem or a
driver problem?
