Age Of Empires And SP1

Hi,

Since installing SP1 my Age Of Empires II cannot change resolution
correctly. It yields a corrupted screen. I normally have my screen
at 800x600 but play AoE at 1024x768. Before, AoE would switch
resolutions. Now I must set the screen resolution before running
AoE.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Gary,

Sounds like the Service Pack may have improperly installed.
Use system restore to go back to a point before you installed
SP1, reboot your system, and test the game. Once you're
sure the game is working properly, shut off your antivirus and
other software, and install the latest Service Pack (1a) from
the Windows Update site. Hope this helps, good luck! :)
