After upgrade to XP, old favorites not available in IE

R

Richard

I just upgraded to XP from Windows 2000. I assumed that
IE would retain the favorites that I had prior to the
upgrade. It didn't. The only favorites I can see are
those in a very, very old Netscape bookmark.htm.

What I can see is a folder (preceeded by a star) called
FAVORITES, located in
c:\Documents and Settings\Administrator
Within this folder are all of the favorites I once had,
folders and internet shortcuts.

After the upgrade, by trail and error, I did get the
favorites into IE, but after shutdown they were gone.

I have installed all recommended updates to XP. MS Help
has been of no help.

Administrator was the previous administrator. When I
upgraded, Richard became the administrator.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

Richard, just go to the old favorite folder under Admininstrator choose
Edit>Select All. Rt click on anyone
of the favorite files and choose Copy. Now go to C:\Doc and Sett\Your User
Name\Favorites Folder and
rt click and Paste.
