After update download and system restore

After update download and system restore to a point prior
to the XP updates, I cannot reinstall the same updates.
After download and install I get a message "unsuccessful
try again". Retrying just results in the same mesaage.
 
Hi Murray,

Locate the WindowsUpdate.log file in the \Windows or \Winnt directory. Open
it and scroll to the bottom and look at the error codes, check them against
this site:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
