After SP1 upgrade-- cannot use internet

I am able to resolve names with ping but no actual data
is "pinged". I have one computer with seeming identical
configuration that is working. With the working computer
when check "User proxy" it can use internet. With the
computer that doesn't work, it wants to type in a proxy
and port ( which i don't know ). I have a wireless LAN
connected to a satalite modem , both of which have DHCP.
Plese help me figure out how to debug this connection.

Thanks Howards

Several of my clients have DirecPC satellite service for their ISP. They
must use proxy settings, and my understanding is that you can only use
Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) to share the Internet with
multiple computers. The last time I tried to do this for a client, I
was told that the "normal" way to share Internet connectivity; i.e.,
using a router, would not work with DirecPC. Now, you didn't say which
ISP you have, but I would contact their tech support for 1) the exact
settings you need for the second pc; 2) instructions on how to set up
the second pc for Internet connectivity.
