I wanted to backup my Outlook files on a regular basis.
Under system tools of Windows 2000 Pro I found an
application called Backup. I opened it and programmed the
Backup Wizard to backup my Outlook pst every day. I did
it once and the backup file generated was 11 kb for a pst
file that was 117 MB.

When I restarted my computer it took about 1/2 hr to
startup!!!

When the computer finally reloaded I erased the Backup
protocol in the Scheduled Tasks window.
Still the same problem.
Please help!!!

I don't think the startup problem has anything to do with NTBackup. Check
the system and application event logs to see what type of errors you have
when the system is starting. The long startup time could have all kinds of
causes. And as to the backup problem NTbackup will not backup a file if it
is open. That is most likely thing that happened with it.
