1.Personal Folder File Placement 2. Outlook Backup Tool

Without a lengthy explanation of why, my outlook (2007) personal folder file
(.pst) is located on my desktop. I want to get it to where it actually
belongs in the Vista Home Premium 32-bit "configuration."

The second issue is with the backup tool I downloaded for Outlook. I can
export my .pst to my backup location (DVD-RW), but the backup tool won't
backup there. Is the tool not compatible with 2007, or am I missing a step.

Thank you, as usual.

Where it belongs is up to you. You can put it anywhere you want it. The
worst place to put it is in Outlook's default location because you stand a
very good chance of overwriting another PST file and corrupting either it or
your Outlook profile. Just put it where you store the rest of your data.
The backup tool is protecting you from making a mistake. You must never try
to export Outlook data to read only storage medium. You will corrupt it. You
use the backup tool to create your backup on your hard drive. Only after you
exit Outlook completely would you try to copy it to read only storage
medium.
