after restoring hard drive, IIS doesn't work

On my Windows 2000 server system, the hard drive became corrupted. On new hardware, Windows was installed (computer was given same name), then the backup was restored. Everything seems to be working fine except the Internet Information Services.

The web page the used to come up via http://[servername] doesn't show up any more.

When I try to start the Internet Services Manager I get the error message
"Error connecting to [servername].
The system cannot find the path specified."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the IIS, same error.

Any ideas how to fix this problem?
