After reinstalling Windows 2000 - opening windows installer asking for DAO.msi

I reinstalled Windows 2000, to fix corrupted fields. After
which, frequently the windows installer dialog box appears
looking for DAO.msi? What is the reason and how to resolve
it.
 
Any details on the "corrupted fields"? Sounds more like an application
specific problem.
