After opening an email, I close it. It then disappears. I can

The emails that I have closed after reading, disappear. I know that they
are in the inbox but cannot find the sub folder.

I need to know the procedure to: 1. Find the sub-folder that they are in
and 2. the procedure to reverse this.

Thanks for your help.
 
It may just be that a setting needs changing. Check your View setting. To see
all messages in the current folder, click on View > Current View > Messages.
