After my aol update, my computer restarted. Now, I cannot get into my access
file. It says "Microsoft Access cannot open this file. The file is located
outside your intranet or on an untrusted site. Microsoft Access will not
open the file due to potential security problems. To open the file, copy it
to your machine or an accessible network location."

Hi, Dawn.
After my aol update, my computer restarted. Now,
I cannot get into my access file.

Congratulations. AOL installed Windows XP SP-2 for you, so now you can
enjoy the same level of security the rest of us have been enjoying since
September 2004. Your operating system is blocking this Access file due to a
setting made by the Attachments Manager, because the file was saved on your
hard drive after being sent to you via E-mail.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Access file. Right-click on the
file name and select "Properties" on the pop-up menu. Select the "Unblock"
button on the lower right of the Properties dialog window to unblock the
file, then select the "OK" button to save the change. Now try to open the
file.

HTH.
