I loaded an application, and now when I boot, and login,
the system only presents a white screen...when I cntrl-alt-
del, I can get to task mgr to run a task...I tried
running 'control admintools' and other things to no avail.

Any ideas?

I have to disagree, because:

a) The OP has not yet reported that the problem is solved
(if he ever will - very few posters bother to acknowledge the
free help they receive).
b) I plucked the link out of my private collection of tips & tricks.
It probably found its way in there from someone else's post.

Still, thanks for the compliment!

You're too modest...
It surely wasn't for that one Brilliant post.
You cut to the nut in a nice way.
I like your stile. Sometimes I act like a damned politcian. And I hate to think
I'm even kin to one. <g>

Once more I have to disagree with you. Your stile demonstrates
far more patience with posters than mine: You don't seem to
mind explaining things in a nice, easy-going and detailed way,
which must take quite a lot of your time. I'm afraid I no longer
have this level of patience and dedication.

Damn, you just made my day..
Thank you ( and I don't take compliments well, but from you, well, it just feels
great )

thanks,
don

cjb,

Sorry to hear about the boy.
I wish you luck and if I can be of any assistance, will do.

Thanks for the tip, but already tried that, and it was not
the fix...and yes, help is always appreciated, just unable
to be conveyed this time while searching for a missing boy
in New England...no broadband up there...poor fellow
succumbed to the elements.
