After Installing VS.Net - Cannot see Help Topics

I installed VS.net 2003... I can see the help topics, but when I click them,
the content page says that it cannot connect to the server. I want the
help to be retrieved from the local machine.

Any ideas ?

Did you install VS.NET's own help or the full MSDN Library?

Maybe clearing the temporary internet files will solve the problem.

I installed "MSDN Library for Visual Studio.NET 2003"....

What is odd is that I can see the topics and indexes, but contenet will not
display... at top of page is says "Could not Find Server"... The error
messages act as if it is a browser setting issue.

I have tried repairing, uninstalling and re-installing.

Well, after googling it, I found many other people have been struggling with
the same issue... MS has not recognized it as a problem to my knowledge.
One suggestion that has worked for others was to delete the Temporary Inter
Files folder. I was not able to do this because it was a system folder.
(Hmmm ... I could not delete it from my own machine even though I am an
Administrator.)

Anyway, I then moved the folder and waalaa.. it worked. Go Figure !!!

I am glad to hear that you could finally solve the problem.

Note that you can delete the "Temporary Internet Files" folder in Internet
Explorer: "Tools" -> "Internet options..." -> "General" -> "Delete
files...". There is no need for deleting or moving the folder in Explorer.
