after installing quicktime 6, can't pop up mpeg movie on browser

hi. how do you get your browser to pop up mpeg movie if you click on
an mpg movie link? usually it was able to do that, but after
installing quicktime, it won't pop up anymore, and damn quicktime
plays it on the browser (IE)

go to setings in quick time disabile mpeg playback then
go to internet options then advance restore defalts
