My computer recently quit working. After having no success with Dell
Tech Support i finally somewhat figured out my problem. I wasn't able
to get windows xp to load....I would get numerous error messages.
Anyway, I was finally able to re-install Windows XP. My problem now is
I want to make Windows look like it did before my trouble started. ALL
of my old files are still on my computer....Windows XP now just looks
like you re-installed the OS which I did. Is there a way to make
Windows look like it was before. Do I have to do this manually?
What;s the easiest way to solve my problem??

Thank you

If no back up was created then manually change....However,once set as you
like,with WMP,IE,photos,etc installed,load xp cd,open file transfer wizard,
set as old computer, select the files, settings for it to save, save the data
in a
new folder you created on desktop, once the data is collected, move to cd.Next
time xp crashes,or you reinstall, run the wizard as new computer, all youre
sett-
ings,files,etc are automatically installed..

How do I get Windows to recognize my files and programs in the Program
Files folder so I see them in the add/remove menu in the control
panel?

Pure gibberish! You can't post more than a 2 line reply that anyone can
really understand. Why bother posting if the OP has to take a course in
understanding gibberish to read it?
