After boot and logon the computer just stops...

I am completly baffled by this and have no idea where to
go with it. After logon on the machine it says loading
personal settings that window goes away and then nothing
happens. It just sits there with the busy icon, i let it
sit all morning yesterday like 6 hours and still nothing.
It will boot to safe mode with networking and that is how
i am posting. Any ideas would be apreciated

Scan your PC with an external virus scanner,
e.g. on www.antivirus.com ("free online scan").

If this does not help then run msconfig.exe
(http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm),
and use it to disable every startup process that is
not essential, until you find out what causes your
problem.
