Aero won't work

Well after I installed Windows Vista I had a Graphics rating of 1.9 and a
Gaming Graphics rating of 1 using a Nvidia Gforce MX4000, today I purchased a
Nvidia Geforce 6200 (256mb) and my ratings didnt improve. I tried updating my
score and everything else but the scores don't improve, meaning I cant use
Aero. I have already made sure that everything is set correctily (color,
theme, etc) but it still wont work. Please any help would be greatly
appreciated

Have you installed the latest drivers from Nvidia? www.nvidia.com

If you have a video card which supports Aero Glass but yet it doesn’t
display, make sure that the WDDM drivers are installed correctly and then
perform the following:

1. Press WinKey+R on your keyboard.
2. Type “WinSAT Aurora†into the Run dialog and press OK.
3. Let WinSAT run for a few minutes or until it has completed, and then log
off.
4. Log back in.

This should give you Aero Glass back

Found this on another forum where user was having issues with Aero.. doing
this procedure it tests the video card in a manual method to determine it
will work and gives the option back.

Like everyone else posting about this, you need to update the drivers to
Vista drivers. If you don't know how to do this, google it.

Yep, check nVidia for updated Geforce FX drivers, should also be pushed down
through Windows Update.

Define 'dirt cheap.' These days they start at about $50.

Aero by intent requires graphics which are higher up the food chain.
Vista doesn't require running Aero.
