Aero on 32 bit edition?

I have the 32 bit edition, and i don't have aero! Is it because i only have
the 32 bit edition?

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE 128 MB card

No, it works on the 32-bit edition. Check your video drivers and make sure
to see if in the device manager your video card has WDDM besides it. Also,
try going on NVIDIA's website and using their Vista drivers if you haven't
already done so.

In order to display Aero Glass, your computer must meet the following
requirements:

1 GHz or greater processor
1 GB RAM (memory)
DirectX 9 video card that supports Pixel Shader v2.0 and comes with a
special Windows Vista (WDDM) device driver
At least 128 MB of video memory, 256 MB recommended
40 GB or greater hard disk
At least 15 GB of hard disk space available
DVD-ROM drive

There is no way to force Windows Vista to display Aero Glass if your system
does not meet these requirements.

To me, that sounds like the premium ready requirements. I've seen many
people run Glass with 512MB of RAM, even 256MB.

I have a 3 GHz processor, 1.25 MB of ram, i should be able to display it!

I've installed the new drivers from Nvidia, how do i get WDDM tho?

You're talking to a complete novice here, i appreciate all the help!

Right click on the desktop and select Personalize.
Select Display Settings and make sure that Colors is set to 32 bit.
16 bit or lower will disable Aero even with the correct drivers.

Bit of a long shot but it worked for me. If you can, try increasing the AGP
graphics aperture in BIOS. With a NVIDIA GeForce FX5600 (256Mb) and a 32Mb
Aperture (not a gamer so never needed more in XP or Win98SE), trying both
the Microsoft Drivers and the NVIDIA drivers the graphics card was
recognised correctly but I couldn't get WDDM (ie Glass) working. I increased
the AGP Aperture in BIOS to 512Mb Glass (and the other features) started
working at the next boot (using default Microsoft drivers) and has been
working ever since.

Could be because your card does not support Aero Glass.

Sorry, been away. It was in fact the Drivers. Although now in my display
settings it thinks i'm running two monitors!

Vista has an almost incestous affection for the VGA connector on nVidia
cards. Sometimes even when nothing is connected.

I had the same problem. I have an SLI system, and it said I had 4
monitors...I think it's just gunna be that way until the OS and the Drivers
are finalized, due to the constant changes, we can't expect nVidia to be all
THAT excited about making up drivers...

How does one "upgrade" to pixel shader 2.0? My video card shows shader
version 1.4 (ATI Radeon 9250)

Thanks!
