hello again

well my pc configuration is
AMD X2 4200
2GB RAM
NVIDIA 6800 ULTRA (256mb video ram)

VISTA PC RANKING OF MY SYSTEM IS 4

The problem is that when i have many windows open at the same time then a
messege appears "would you like to disable windows desktop composition ?
because your performance is slow "

i want to mention that i have installed the drivers from nvidia

has anyone the same problem ?

what can i do ?

Yes. I have an AMD dual core cpu and the same video card as you. I get the
message over and over again in Vista x86. It is also sluggish. I have no
such problems with Vista x64. It is possible that the x86 video driver just
isn't quite right. In any case file a bug report.

I am having the same problem with x86. Im currently running a Geforce 6800GT.
I plan on trying the x64 to see if that fixes it like Colin suggests. Other
than that i agree that the geforce driver for x86 has a bug.

I noticed my e-GeForce 7800 cs oc ran better with the out of the box MS
driver from nVidia before I installed the newest nVidia driver with desktop
software-I may remove the new driver and return to the out of the box driver.

I have a Dell XPS GEN 2 laptop fully loaded nvidia geforce go 6800 ultra 256MB.
When I first installed Vista it installed WDDM drivers. I went to this
website www.laptopvideo2go.com and installed version 88.61 dated 5/16/06. To
this date I have not had any noticeable problems like slow performance or
anything like that. I do have one request. You know the gadget window on the
sidebar that allows you to access different gadgets it would be nice if all
the windows had the option of 100% glass like that window displays it is
really cool.
