To find and/or deal with issues caused by any sort of "adware"
and/or "spyware," such as Gator, Comet Cursors, Xupiter, Bonzai Buddy,
or KaZaA, and their remnants, that you've deliberately (but without
understanding the consequences) installed, two products that are quite
effective (at finding and removing this type of scumware) are Ad-Aware
from www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search & Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org/. Both have free versions. It's even possible
to use SpyBot Search & Destroy to "immunize" your system against most
future intrusions.

Additionally, manual removal instructions for the most common
varieties of scumware are available here:

sure,
first of all what you are experiencing
and irritated with has been incurred by
everyone in the world. so you are not
alone. further, there has been many
advances with combating these irritants
as well.

if you get a message referring to
exploiter instead of explorer, then
this is a 100% guarantee that
your operating system has been
compromised.

what you need to do is to primarily
use as many Microsoft products as
possible firstly. since all of the
attacks and hacks has been against
Microsoft, then it has been Microsoft's
primary task to defend and make all
of it's products safe as possible.

after you have set up a pc with
pure Microsoft products and have
set up your defenses and recovery
methods, then you can install third
party software that may or may not
be safe.

if i'm not mistaken mozilla based software
has always been ad sponsored. but then
there is other software that prevents the
pop ups.

since it has been years for you, it might
be worthwhile to re evaluate your situation
and make a change for the better. with
regards to likes or dislikes with Microsoft
products, it really should be of no consequence
for you and you should simply get on the Microsoft band
wagon and make your pc safe from outsiders
and your computer experience enjoyable. This
should be what is important here......

Yes, that's important but so is not using HTML in a newsgroup.
