advice wanted on installing windows media player 10

I'm running Windoze XP home and media player 9, do I need to uninstall
media player 9 before installing media player 10?

Quite often odd nigges with apps are prevented by uninstalling the app
you dont want to use anymore, rebooting, then installing the version you
do want to start using.

No. Also check "no" to about everything it asks you when you're installing
it... :-)
