Want to go back to Media Player 9

I

Information

We wish to use Media Player 9, as we are not happy with 10 or 11. Running
XP Home SP2 (all updates), which put us to Media Player 11. If we uninstall
11, we end up with 10, at which point we cannot get back to 9.

We would like to strip our 10, then run the install for 9 which we have
already downloaded.

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks in advance.

you should be able to uninstall all the way back to wmp 9. go into
add/remove programs and uninstall whatever "windows media" entries you
find there (player and/or format runtimes). reboot and repeat until you've
uninstalled your way back as far as you want (all the way back to wmp 7,
which is xp's baseline).

if your uninstall info is lost/unavail, back up as far as you can, then
try installing wmp 9 from a clean MS download.
