Advice Please: Polaroid Sprintscan 4000

Someone in my area is selling a Polaroid Sprintscan 4000 for $100.

The catch is that he said, "the feeder motor keeps spinning, and I dont know why".

Can anyone tell me if this sounds like is a deal?

Is this a known issue that can be repaired, or should I skip it?
