Advice on which phone to buy to ensure compatability with BCM

Hi There,
Just looking at a couple of phones & likewise advice.

The first is a Sony 990i. This runs on the Symbian OS, but (apparently) you
also get a copy of Exchange ActiveSync installed. Has anyone any experience
with using this phone with BCM?

The second is a Nokia 9300 (or 9300i). This currently shows compatability up
to Outlook 2003 (no comment regarding 2007)

Any comments/advice would be useful

Colin,

Although I too love Nokia phones, the Symbian OS platform that it runs on is
not very Microsoft friendly to sync with from my experience. Nokia has their
PC Suite that their devices synch to. The data can then be synched from that
with Outlook. I don't believe that the conduits with Outlook are very
feature rich and only basic fields will transfer. I am not even certain that
Task items are supported either. I highly doubt that there is any Contact
record multi folder synch capability with this. My understanding is somewhat
limited however and I may be incorrect because some 3rd party solutions such
as Intellisync may be able to rectify this limitation. Your best bet right
now for Outlook/BCM sync compatibility seems to be to go with either a
Windows Mobile, Palm OS, or Blackberry platform device.

Best regards,

Thanks for this, Tim,
This, unfortunately, is what I was coming to the conclusion on, but I
thought that I would check for wiser heads than mine :)
Also, just for your info, BCM doesn't (at th emoment) sync with Blackberry

Colin
