Advancing from movie slide smoothly

Is there anyway to prevent a movie slide from reverting back to the first
frame of the played
movie, for a split second, right before advancing to the next slide? I've
created several presentations
with movies, and this is always visually distracting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
This is a common "side effect" of movies and PPT. If using PPT XP or above,
assign an exit animation to the movie set to AFTER PREVIOUS. When the movie
is done, the first frame placeholder will exit and provide a smoother
transition to the next slide.
