Advanced volume controls don't want to stay in place

In the advanced volume controls, I have been having trouble with the "wave"
control. It does not want to stay in place when I am using an online
listening service (Rhapsody). It drops down to a too low level. By the way,
the volume controls in general are too low. How can I get the settings to
stay in place? Right now I have to adjust them all the time. Any
suggestions? Thanks.

Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio>Devbice Volume
Click or slide it to the right>Apply>ok

No, I already have it turned all the way up. Thanks anyway.

What I'm wondering about is how/why the music service (Rhapsody) changes the
volume settings in the control panel. I don't think that should happen - but
it does.

Tim, open Windows Media Player>View>Enhancements and
check if Crossfading and Auto Volume Leveling is checked.
If it is, uncheck it.

No, that does not do the trick. If you can suggest something else, please
do. I suppose I can also check with the listening service (Rhapsody) and ask
them if their software is altering my settings for some reason.
