get object error in system software, under hardware installed, get error,
under Network Diagnostics, system runs the check and stops at 99% formatting
results and never goes any further.

Which exact link in H&S causes this error. Also, post the exact error
message as that would help me troubleshoot the problem easily.

In the H&S under Pick a task, use Tools, my compuer info. Under tools, view
general info works, status of system gives object error, Info about hardware
installed gives 9% object error. Under Tools, network diagnostics, scan your
system givess 99% formatting results and then freezes.

Ok. Is this the Exact error you're seeing when you click the "View the
status of my system hardware and software "(2nd link)

'pchealth.UserSettings.MachineSKU' is null or not an object

The exact error is a graph that has 2 bars of green as if searching the
system but above the thinking bar in parenthesis is (object error). It always
shows the bars with the green searching filling in and the error is always in
parenthesis with the graph unfinished and it just stops moving.

I ran the reinstall and still came out with the same result. Would this be a
problem with the software or the computer itself?

Cathy,

I had a glance at the .JS script files that are responsible for the Help &
Support reports, and no clue so far regarding the "object error". I'd try
rebuilding the help Center - courtesy of Rebecca Chen[MS], and a WMI repair.

Not sure. First, I'll have to determine when exactly this problem occurs.
Actually there are five different functions (drive info, memory info, BIOS
info etc) that the link does, and we need to find out at which stage the
error occurs. Will look at the scripts and post back if I find any solution.
