Advanced search options don't stick?

For some reason on my work XP Pro machine the advanced options for
searching (search system folders, search hidden files, search
subfolders, etc) are not "sticking" between searches. If I set them on
a search, they will be unset the next time i come in to do a search.
AFAIK there are no group policies in effect that might be causing
this.

I think they do stick on my home xp pro machine so I am wondering if
anyone has any ideas why this would be happening, and better, how to
fix it.

NEVER MIND!! I see there are a number of messages here on this topic
(stupidly didn't search for the right term :) If I can't get it fixed
I'll post again.
