Advanced Microphone Tone Controls Inaccessible

I have Windows XP Pro. I am using a Creative Audigy 2
Platinum Sound Card. I want to be able to adjust the
tone of my microphone without that adjustment effecting
the music. When I access the advanced controls of the
microphone within the Playback Control Panel the tone
sliders are present but they are greyed out. Is there
any way to work around this or gain access to those
specific sliders?

The grayed out slider means they are not supported by your sound card. I
have never heard of tone control for the mic.
