Ads popup without open browser

E

eegah

I keep getting Internet Explorer browser windows that popup with ads
even when I'm not surfing the internet. The URLs always have one of
the two following domains:

targetnet.com (fad-1108.nyc1.targetnet.com)
waytofind.com

What's causing these to popup? I've run AdAware, Startup Control
Panel, and virus scans, but nothing is ever found. Any help would be
appreciated.

For the first, install & run "PestPatrol" to remove.
The second, delete all your Cookies & see if that stops it.

Go to Downloads.com or cnet.com. Download Spyware Search and Destroy. Install it, open it and follow instructions. This will clean out all the spybot, adware, and other junk the internet sticks on you system.

Good Luck.
