ads not showing up

Whenever there is an ad on a webpage I'm looking at, it doesn't show up.
There is a message that says the page cannot be displayed or I just see the
word, advertisement. How do i get the ad links to show?

You have some security software running that is blocking the ads. Since
only you can see your computer, you'll need to determine what that is
and change its options accordingly.

Especially people that don't want viruses.

The cause is due to a modified HOSTS file that blocks known adware sites.

You will find the HOSTS file in: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
