Page cannot be displayed

When I go to different webpages the do not always display completely.
I have found that some ads don't show up .
Instaed of the ad the banner "The page cannot be displayed-Cannot find
servor or DNS Error. The standard IE error page shows up in the ad frame.
On many websites there are no pictures, just boxes with the little red x in
the upper corner.
I have tried disabling AV , Firewall, popups, to no avail.
Thanks for any help I get.

The page can not be displayed will be an inline frame <iframe> as opposed to
an image.
The boxes with little red crosses are "broken images" meaning the URL that
the page references either does not exist or the browser has farted (tech
term) and a refresh will bring the image to life. Comes down to two
things... you either have something blocking 3rd party ads/banners or you
are visiting poorly kept sites. If you send a couple of example addresses
where this is happening then others can visit and let you know whether it's
the site's problem or something your PC is enforcing.

Thank you Kelly
The winsock fix Line 349 fixed my problem.
I'm sure there are others with the same problem.
Again thank you for your help.
The Spy Doctor found some dangerous items on my computer,is it worth the
39.95 for this program. I have spysweeper but have never paid to upgrade it.
Which would you suggest?

In my opinion you don't need any paid versions. The free versions that
Kelly suggested along with CWshredder Bazooka should keep your system
clean. Bazooka doesn't clean spyware but it will detect it and give
instructions for manual removal.

Cwshredder
http://aumha.org/freeware/freeware.php#cwshred

Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner

After your system is clean use these programs to help keep it clean:

Spywareblaster

Spywareguard

IE-SPYAD
