Adobe Reader Wont Work

I installed Adobe Reader 7.0, however IE will still not display .pdf files. I
went to "Manage Add-ons" and the Adobe BHO is there but is disabled. It will
not let me enable it because it says that "this add-on is managed by your
administrator." I don't get this because I am the only user on my system. How
can I fix this?

Are you logged o as User or Administrator? If User then switch and log-on as
Administrator; there is a difference.

I am logged on as the administrator. I have a feeling that it has something
to do with spyware. This first started happening when I was infiltrated by
isearch and their toolbar. I eneded up purchasing adware anti-spy software
and it got rid of isearch and numerous other spies I had on my system.
However, I still cannot manage all of my add-ons, and it is very frustrating.
What should I do? Thanks

Hi,
Some possible solutions (after poking around at Adobe support.)
1. Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50 MB
2. Search for "acr*.tmp" files (without the quotes) and delete all
zero-length files that are found. Then re-install Adobe Reader.
3. Delete all "*.tmp" files and reinstall Adobe Reader.

Hope this helps,
Don
