OK, I have read all the support updates, unistalled Adobe three times today
and downloaded again using multiple changes listed. None of them worked.
Adobe worked prior to the SP2 release was downloaded, now it doesnt. Active
X controls still indicate that ADOBE is disabled by administrator (me)
however although I have disaled automatic promting for ActiveX controls and
automatic prompting for file downloads, still no Adobe which works on PDF
files pulled up on the internet. Seems strange that the tools menue reflects
disabled however will not allow ADOBE to be enabled. Helpppppppppppp.

Hey Ramesh, tks. Still working the problem, printed the info from the web
sites. Noticed others having similiar problems. Even found one web site which
had the fix in Adobe which was a waste of time. Weird that even attemtping
to click, save the file to hard drive, then open doesnt work either. They
should really fix SP2 since most folks dont like messing with the computer
registery aye.

Hi,

In this case, first you need to unblock the Acrobat Reader ActiveX control. Only then it will be invoked by Internet Explorer, when situation demands.

Here TIS: after reading tons of stuff, trying multiple downloads ADOBE 6.01,
deleting old ADOBEs loaded: Hint: view start menue to see if older versions
are loaded, then delete all versions, then dowlodad 6.01 again. After ADOBE
cleanout and 6.01 installed: shut down internet connection, open ADOBE 6.01,
Use edit internet prefences. The first line appearing should be: Display PDF
in Browser and you should see a check mark beside it. Take out the check
mark, click OK. Start internet and you should be able to open and view PDF
files....yea......

TKS to folks who tried to help aye.

Adobe Reader 6.03 was released last week, and 7.0 this week. Maybe one of
these will resolve the problem?
