I am filling out .pdf tax forms which are conveniently not allowed to
be saved. Fine, but Acrobat open in IE also crashes when I swtch
between windows in the task bar, ruining all my work. Will preventing
..pdf from opening in browser window alleviate this?

Hi Revyakin,

Things to try,

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe. (It should prompt you for
an update if it is available)

2. Instead of opening the link to the pdf document from your taxation site,
right click and select the 'Save target as' menu option to save the file to
your local disk. You can then use the Acrobat Reader to open the file. If
the reader crashes in stand-alone mode then seek help from the Adobe site.

Regards.

Thank you, Rob. When open in Ad Reader itself (it was the latest
version, downloaded 3 days ago) the documents seem more stable (no
crashes) and I was able to finish my tax return.

Hi Ravyakin,

Your tax office should offer the option of downloading the pdf!

Don't know why the plug-in is failing... Probably something to do with
ActiveX... Sooooo complicated.

Glad you got your work done. Back to it.

Regards.
