key /software/classes/.pdf/persistent handler. verify that you have sufficent
access to that key.
As a newbie this is most confusing...any thoughts out there??

Do you get this message when downloading it, or installing it?

if all you need is a PDF reader, then give
vspdfreader
a look.
smaller , faster and does not place all the garbage on the system adobe does.

Why doesn't Microsoft tell Adobe to do this in its install script? I do not
want to mess with the Registry.

I wondering why Microsoft should tell Adobe to do this? We're not sure how the Permissions got stuck that way.
