Adobe Reader 6.0

Everytime I try to open an adobe document, without fail
an error message comes up that says Adobe Reader 6.0 has
encountered a problem and needs to close.
Any suggestions?

Try unistalling and re-installing Acrobat Reader (download it from their
Website)

Alternativly, go to their Acrobat's website and ask for support

Try Adobe Reader 5.x

I can't get version 6 to work on my system either, but I haven't found a PDF
file that it doesn't cope with.

I don't know why, but it seems as though variations of
this are suddenly happening all over the place -- to
folks who previously had no problems with Reader.
Sometimes there is no error message; my system, for
example, simply does nothing at all when I click on a PDF
file or try to start Reader from the Program menu.
