adobe reader 6.0 cant open pdf on web site through internet explor

when i click the link,it will pop-up a new window but blank,normally it will
be open by adobe reader ! i found a lot of reason on adobe web site,they
suggest me to amend the adobe reader setting,but in fact,the adobe reader
default setting can open the pdf in internet explorer.my ie is 6.0 version,os
is win2000.i need online open the pdf file by ie ,so i cant use the netscap
to save the pdf file in HD.i do hope i can find the solution at microsoft.com

Go to edit > preferences on acrobat.
under the Internet option use the "display pdf in browser"
that will work

This is a known issue. Here is the resolution:
