Adobe/ MS photo editor

I'm a newby to XP and digital photography. XP's photo media manager is good
for organizing, I need a software for creativity. The Olympus Stylus 300
camera is point & shoot, the CAMEDIA 4.0 software is point & shoot yourself
in the butt! You can edit photos, but there are no creative features. You
can't share photos through email unless your ISP provideds you with a code.

I 've been reading about Adobe Photo Shop and MS Picture It. Which one would
any of you recommend ($1- $50) ? Or would you recommend another??

Adobe Photoshop is a great program and I highly recommend it, but PS is an
expensive photo editor.

Photoplus 8 is only $99.99. (This is not guaranteed but Registered Users
usually get a upgrade price $9.95. Some users have managed to get this price
even after registering the free version at the link below.)

They have a great user supported forum to ask questions about any of their
programs. Some of the actual programmers also respond to user question in
the forum quite frequently.

They have a Great Deal on version 7 of the program. It includes the resource
CD, KPT Plugin Filters versions 3 and 5 $109.99
