ADMT v2 help

Hi,

Here's the situation; 2 windows 2000 forests, both native
mode, migrating user/global groups from source to target.
Everything seems to work fine, I'm migrating from the DC
in target domain, I choose to migrate User SID,
authenticate with an administrative account, everything
seems to work fine. There are no errors in the ADMT logs.
The problem is when the migrated user logs into the target
domain, they can't access any shares on the fileserver
that they had access to. I thought that this was one of
the reasons to migrate the SID? Am I missing something?

Please shed some light,

Thanks.

yes, this is the way it happens.
with admt, csvde or ldif-something, sid will newly be
created everytime you execute which this happens to make
problems. if you prefer to keep the same SID, then you
need to backup system state and restore it on the server
you are planning to use which this happens to blow away
all the previous infos that the server was containing.
good luck..
