Hi.
We are currently downgrading from roaming to mandatory roaming profiles.
Currently our SAM accounts are configured via the %username% function, and
we need a way to strip them all out (~4500+ accounts
. We want a static
pointer to a drive letter which will map a share unique to the environment
upon login.
I asked about this some time ago and was passed along ADModify, which is a
super sweet tool. However, the tool seems to want to append the
SAMAccountName to the end of the 'profile path'. Currently running 1.4 of
ADModify. The place to look for updates (the ftp.microsoft.com link)
appears to be on the fritz and I keep timing out. I have also read on
backposts that newer versions of the tool will support options like
variables and such. Does this mean that the appending of the
SAMAccountName will not be forced?
I am about to give Ad Infinitum (newfawm.com) a try as per an older post
to this group. Any other suggestions?
Much appreciated.
