It is encrypted in the SAM and is not accessible with registry tools.
What are you trying to do?

Well, I've received a pc from a collegue that is gone away with win xp pro
and with a user account. I've already tried to reset the administrator
password with these tools, but it doesn't work, the pc is very well
protected with some mmc tools.
I wouldn't want to format the pc.
What can I do?

What doesn't work? Tip 1984 links you to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ which should work.
