I am trying to uninstall Adobe Elements from within Add/Remove Programs. I
get a message saying I don't have permission to do this. The same thing
happens if I try to drag the Adobe folder to the recycle bin......I get "you
don't have permission to do this". When I look in User Accounts I am setup
as an administrator. Can anyone help? Thanks.

This is what frequently happens when you do an upgrade install of an
operating system. It occurred when people migrated from Win98 to Windows XP
also. The necessary settings/files needed to uninstall the program may not
survive the migration.

Also, those few programs that specifically check for specific versions of an
operating system (say Windows XP SP2) may balk at uninstalling the program
while under a new operating system (because Windows XP is not found).

If the programs manufacturer can not assist you it is time to nuke your
system and start from scratch. Or, leave the dysfunctional program in place
if it is not interfering with anything else.
