I am using a Windows XP Home Edition SP2 system. Is there a way to recover
the Administrator password or reset it. I can login as a general user but it
does not have any rights (I guess) to open the users icon. If you click on
the users icon the screen for the users is blank. I tried to use the icon
for Adminsitrative Tasks then attempt to access the user account there but it
is not listed. Thanks.

Start in Safe Mode to login as Administrator in XP Home Ed. Normally the
password is blank for Home Ed.

It's my understanding what with XP HOME, you can only get to the
Administrator account by booting into Safe Mode. Hit F8 when windows
starts. By default the password is nothing.

Once there, set up a new account with admin privledges.
